Ministry Teams

Get involved with a ministry team today!  Cross Point Cowboy Church offers a wide variety of groups and activities to enjoy.  Each ministry has a unique function within the church and your involvement in church ministry is a vital part of the function of our church. All ministry teams meet monthly.  The Team Leader will attend the Leadership Team Meetings (held on the first Sunday of each month) and will give a report of the team’s plans and any recommendations that need to be discussed with the Leadership Team.

Arena Team The Arena Team is responsible for providing the tools, resources, and personnel necessary for the church to effectively carry out its arena ministry.  They are responsible for overseeing the arena—its use, care, and maintenance.   They work with the Leadership Team as well as other Ministry Teams to develop strategies and plan events that will utilize the arena to effectively reach the Cowboy/Western Culture for Christ.

Band/Music Team It is the responsibility of the Band/Music Team to select and prepare music for Sunday morning worship and other special events as needed.  The music selected should be in the style relevant to the cowboy lifestyle and the western heritage.  This team consists of the band, and others associated with music, such as sound and visual media.   This team does not rotate its members as the other ministry teams do.

Baptism and Lord’s Supper Team It is the responsibility of the Baptism & Lord’s Supper Team to work with the pastor in planning and making necessary arrangements for the observance of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

Children’s Team It is the responsibility of the Children’s Team to plan and coordinate all activities and Bible Studies that involve children (Preschool – 6th grade).  This team works with other ministry teams that would be pertinent to the Children’s Ministry.

Facility Team The Facility Team is responsible to ensure that the church has adequate facilities to effectively carry out its ministries.  They oversee the care, maintenance, and use of all facilities and grounds (except the arena).  They also assist the pastor and elders with long range planning which will ensure that the church has adequate facilities to meet future needs.

Finance Team The Finance Team is responsible to ensure that the church has adequate financial resources to effectively carry out its ministries.   They work cooperatively with the pastor, elders, and team leaders to find maximum resources for meeting each ministry need.  They are responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and overseeing and accounting of all financial records.  The treasurer is a member of this team.

Hospitality Team It is the responsibility of the Hospitality Team to plan and coordinate all activities pertaining to the fellowship of the church.  This includes (1) plan and coordinate fellowship meals for the Wednesday Family Nights  (2) all Special Events (3) keep the proper inventory of all supplies needed for the operation of the Chuck Wagon (4) assist in providing food for families facing crisis of illness or death.

Media and Communications Team The Media and Communications Team works to carry out the church ministries by managing the various communications of the church.   These responsibilities include the website, church facebook page, emails, Sunday morning Power Points, and other communication pieces as needed.

Nursery Team/Preschool It is the responsibility of the Nursery & Pre-School (Birth-3 yr) Team to oversee the operation of the nursery.  They provide Bible studies and activities for the pre-schoolers which includes the purchase of sufficient supplies and materials.  The team enlists other workers as needed.

Snack Shack Team It is the responsibility of the Snack Shack Team to work closely with the Arena Team and oversee the operation of the Snack Shack during arena events.  The team keeps an adequate inventory and enlists  workers for each event.

Youth Team It is the responsibility of the Youth Team to plan and coordinate all activities and Bible Studies pertaining to youth (Gr. 7-12) and to work with other ministry teams that would be pertinent to the Youth Ministry.

Prayer Team
